The Glastonbury Festival, officially the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, is one of the world's largest music and performing arts festivals. The festival, held in England, is widely known for its hippie pop and classical music, but also features dance, comedy, theater, circus and cabaret.
In 2005, the festival grounds covered an area of 3.6 km2 and featured 385 shows. In 2005, 150,000 festival-goers attended. In 2020, over 1,906 shows on 139 stages were presented to 210,000 festival-goers from June 21 to 25.
