Dokken is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band broke up in 1989 and reformed four years later. They have three charting singles (Alone Again, In My Dreams and Burning Like a Flame) and sold over 10 million albums internationally in 20025. Beast from the East was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 19896.
Dokken's classic lineup includes founder Don Dokken on vocals, George Lynch on lead guitar, Mick Brown on drums, and Jeff Pilson, who replaced Juan Croucier de Ratt in early 1984, on bass. This lineup remained stable between 1984 and 1989, and again between 1993 and 1997; only Dokken and Brown were original members remaining.
