There once was a Greek named Harry
a true Black Metal dude, he was scary
he met a red Dane
who was clearly insane
And their journey from here on was merry
Vienna this city was called
where this lovely tale is told
with "Ur, Depf and Leiwand"
they remained defiant
and conversed in the English of old
In an evening of full drunken haze
an idea formed they both could appraise
"Lets shit on our studies
forever stay buddies
and open a pub" was the phrase
They searched for a year and then some
never expecting the outcome
in Döbling a basement
and to their amazement
the Battle Axe soon would become
And this dear Ladies and Gents
is what this tale represents
Battle Axe Vienna
will stay here forever
with beer, schnapps and amazing events
Now let here the truth be told
and then let the stories unfold
with Hardrock and Metal
we push down the pedal
drink up, have fun and behold

Due to the rapid gentrification of area, the bar was forced relocate in December 2008. The bar reopened in December 2008 on Williamsburg's gritty South Side (168 Marcy Avenue), in a space four times larger than the original bar. Duff's is frequented by Tri - State metal heads and rock n' rollers, and is a stop off for many heavy metal bands passing through New York City on tours. Duff's wasn't built for mass appeal - it's not for everyone - either ya get it, or ya don't. Take a look around the site, it's a decent representation of what we're about - If you're feelin' it, come on down and check it out. Have a fuckin' drink & we'll rock out & have a good time. That's what Duff's is "about".

FESTIVAL ANNUEL
The Sweden Rock Festival is an annual rock/metal festival held in Sweden since 6 June 1992. While having a clear rock/metal focus, the festival is noted for its diversity across these genres, from southern rock bands such as Molly Hatchet to death metal legends like Obituary.
The first version of the festival, known as Sommarfestivalen i Olofström, was held in Olofström in 1992. In 1993 the festival moved to Karlshamn, and changed its name to Karlshamn Rock Festival. In 1998, the festival moved to Norje, although the name Karlshamn Rock Festival was kept. In 1999 the name was changed to the Sweden Rock Festival.
When the festival began in 1992, it featured nine relatively unknown bands and it only lasted one day. The next year the festival was expanded to two days and more bands were added to the line-up. From 1993 to 2002 the festival would last two days; over those years it would also begin to feature bigger name acts. In 2000 the festival was expanded to three days but it returned to two days the following year.
From 2003 to 2006 the festival lasted three days and had by then featured some of the biggest acts in metal and rock. From 2007 the festival has been expanded to four days and will feature approximately 120 different bands/artists.
Some notable appearances in the past have been Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, Uriah Heep, Europe, Deep Purple, Accept, Motörhead, Saxon, Nazareth, Poison, Status Quo, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Scorpions, Porcupine Tree, Kamelot, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Testament, W.A.S.P, ZZ Top, The Orchestra, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Slayer and Guns N' Roses.
The festival has also worked as a comeback scene for bands like Triumph and Thundersteel line-up Riot.
Bachman & Turner started their world reunion tour here in June 2010. In 2013 both Rush and Kiss together with Europe were headliners for the festival.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused the festival to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021.

It is first and foremost a major musical event in Europe with six days and six nights of music and shows, spread over seven stages of varying character. Both a springboard for young talent and a stage for headliners, Paléo has gradually opened up to all musical styles, as well as to the circus and street arts.
But, between us... Paléo is much more than that!
It is also an extraordinary city for the public that attends it. Particular care is given to the welcome, the decor and the choice of food and craft stands. People come for the music, of course, but also to immerse themselves in atypical settings and atmospheres, to delight their taste buds with cuisine from around the world, to meet up with friends and share a drink - in short, to experience the great collective thrill as well as the small pleasures of life! Festive and convivial, Paléo is an extraordinary place to live, where time passes like nowhere else.
