La Trastienda Club

La Trastienda opened its doors in December 1993. Located in the neighborhood of San Telmo, right in the historical center of Buenos Aires, in what used to be an old general store at the end of the 19th century. The particular characteristics of its hall, with Café-Concert style tables and chairs, the possibility of drinking at its bars during the show, and a first class programming, turned La Trastienda into a place of reference in the cultural scene of Buenos Aires.

In 2005, the facilities and its image were aesthetically updated. The hall was renovated giving it a retro aesthetic, a Preferential sector was created in the mezzanine with a living room format, the hall was equipped with a new technical sound and lighting system and the dressing room sector was renovated. All this change gives rise to La Trastienda, a meeting place par excellence of the Buenos Aires scene.

From the beginning, the artistic proposal of La Trastienda stood out for its variety and eclecticism.

Its program includes the most varied musical styles. Pop, Rock, Reggae, Electronic, World Music, Tango, Jazz, Folklore and renowned artists in original formats, such as acoustic, tributes, covers, among others.

International artists such as Jaime Roos, Los Van Van, Os Paralamas, Cesárea Évora, Maceo Parker, Medesky-Martin[&]Wood, Kusturica[&] the No Smoking Orchestra, Café Tacuba, The Wailers, Calexico, The Skatalites, Chambao, O Rappa and national and international artists have performed in its 700-seat hall.
