Ennio Morricone was an Italian composer, conductor, trumpeter and pianist who wrote music in a wide range of styles. With over 400 scores for film and television, Morricone is widely regarded as one of the most prolific and important film composers of all time. He has received numerous awards, including two Oscars, three Grammy Awards, three Golden Globes and six BAFTAs.
His filmography includes over 70 award-winning films, including every Sergio Leone film since A Fistful of Dollars, every Giuseppe Tornatore film since Cinema Paradiso and Dario Argento's Animal Trilogy.
