Aborted is a Belgian brutal death metal band from Waregem, in the Flemish Region. The band was formed in 1995 by singer Sven de Caluwé. Their songs are mainly about death and violence, often using a medical vocabulary. The name Aborted is decided to be first in the CD1 racks. In their 15 year career and seven studio albums produced, Aborted is a world-renowned brutal death metal band and is one of the most well-known underground bands in the European death metal scene. The band has a fan base, which has named itself Aborted Army.
